India has always been known for its vibrant culture. From the Vedic period to the Mughal era, India has always had a rich and unique style of dress. Even today, traditional Indian clothing is popular among both men and women.

There are many different types of Indian designer clothes, depending on the region or state you are from. Let's take a look at them:

1) Assam - The traditional dress of Assam is the Mekhela chador. It is a two-piece garment that is wrapped around the body. The top part, known as the chador, covers the upper body, and the bottom part, known as the mekhela, covers the lower body.

2) West Bengal - Bengal is known for its traditional white and red saris. This traditional clothing is a long piece of cloth wrapped around the body. It is worn with a blouse and a petticoat.

3) Jammu and Kashmir - The traditional dress of Jammu and Kashmir is the Pheran. It is a long, loose-fitting garment worn over the head and covers the body from neck to toe.

4) Kerala - The traditional dress of Kerala is the mundum neriyathum. The lower part of the garment is known as the mundu. It is worn waist downwards, and the upper portion, known as neriyathu, is either tucked into the blouse or draped over the left shoulder.

Many other traditional Indian clothes are worn in different parts of the country. Some of these include the dhoti, salwar kameez, lehenga choli, and kurta pyjama. As much as these Indian designer clothes are fascinating, remember that they are not only worn for fashion. They have a deep cultural significance and are a part of India's rich heritage.
